The selection process consists of the following stages:
- Written Test (General Knowledge and General English, 50 Marks)
- Professional Skill Test (PST) – Includes Sweeping, Mopping, Cleaning drains & toilets, and maintenance of septic tanks
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT) –
- 1.6 Km run in 7 minutes
- 20 Squat ups
- 10 Push-ups
- Medical Examination – As per Indian Coast Guard standards
